In order to provide our children the best opportunity for a successful educational career, Easter Seals DuPage & Fox Valley and One Hope United have teamed up to provide our families access to an online developmental screening tool: the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3). As part of the Easter Seals National child screening effort “Make the First Five Count”, this campaign helps family members, caregivers, and child care professionals assess their infant, toddler or young child’s development to determine if the child is meeting developmental milestones, specific to their age. If the screening shows a delay in that child’s development, support can be provided early, when it has the most impact.

Ages and Stages Questionnaire is an approved developmental screening tool recommended by our Nation’s “Birth to Five: Watch Me Thrive” and the State of Illinois Excelerate program.

Screen your children every six months for the first five years of their lives to ensure that they are meeting their milestones.

A collaborative approach will provide your child with the best opportunity for success.

After you have completed the screening, you should receive your results within 7 days.

Please print out and bring a copy of your child’s screening results with you for review at your next pediatrician visit.

By detecting developmental delays early, you as a caregiver have the power to improve the life and educational outcomes for your child! If delays are identified, Easter Seals DuPage and One Hope United can offer the support needed to become kindergarten ready and build a foundation for a lifetime of learning.
