Executive’s Corner June 2022
Executive’s Corner
Friends,
As we end our fiscal year, and look ahead to fiscal year 2023, I continue to be focused on our growth as an organization, our continued financial stability, and our dedication to the over 10,000 children, youth, and families we serve annually.
In May, we held our annual signature event- An Evening of Hope- and because of our donors’ generous support, we raised over $160,000 to support our programs and services. If you could not attend the gala, you can still support our work by making a one-time or monthly donation. Pictures from the event will be on our social media channels soon. Save the date for next year’s event which will be held on May 19, 2023!
June is national Pride Month. At One Hope United, we believe love is what makes a family, regardless of the family make-up. June is also National Family Reunification Month. Our staff, known as Hope Members, work tirelessly to bring families back together, as well as to keep families intact. So far in 2022, Hope Members have reunited 126 children with their families.
For the first time in One Hope United’s 127-year history, we recognized Juneteenth as an organizational holiday, and observed it on June 20. This was the result of staff feedback, and the Executive Cabinet’s recognition of the historical meaning of the day, as well as our continued dedication to our principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
In this quarter’s update, you will see more information regarding the impact we have made and about opportunities for you to be involved with our work– from donating, and volunteering, to joining our staff and making a difference as a Hope Member.
I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events, and continue to be grateful for your ongoing support and connection to our mission.
United In Hope,
Dr. Charles A. Montorio-Archer
President and CEO
