Planned Giving Donor Profile: Paul Earle and Ellen Rudnick
Paul Earle and Ellen Rudnick were first drawn to One Hope United because of their interest in early childhood education. Earle served on One Hope United’s Board of Directors for one year, and was named Life Director in January of 2020. Throughout their years of involvement, Earle and his wife, Ellen Rudnick, have made a lasting impact for the organization, giving generously of their time, talents, and resources.
Earle and Rudnick have both built successful careers; Earle as a financial executive and consultant, and Rudnick as a professor. They felt they could maximize their impact and contribute to quality early childhood education for years to come by making a Planned Gift. Earle and Rudnick also helped establish One Hope United’s Capital Reserve Fund.
Their multiyear gifts have supported One Hope United’s efforts to develop evidenced-based and trauma-informed training, a coding initiative for youth in Chicago, and advanced clinical training for residential staff. Rudnick shared, “There are so many overwhelming problems in the world. We take solace in knowing that by donating to One Hope United, we’re impacting one child and family at a time, right here in our own community.”
In 2017, Paul and Ellen received One Hope United’s Leadership In Giving award at the annual Hope In Action Gala in recognition of their philanthropic efforts. One Hope United is grateful for the generosity of dedicated donors like Paul Earle and Ellen Rudnick, who make a difference in the lives of the thousands of children and families One Hope United serves each year.
