Charity Golf Outing 2025: Recap

We are excited to announce that we raised over $228,000 at this year’s Charity Golf outing—directly supporting our Busy Bee Early Learning Center, providing high-quality early learning to even more children and families across Lake County, Illinois.

Busy Bee is a vital part of the community, offering Early Head Start programs for children from birth to age three. Recognized for its high-quality care, the center is NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and Illinois ExceleRate Gold Circle of Quality certified. It operates in partnership with Start Early, an organization dedicated to improving life outcomes for children affected by inequality, with a 42-year history in program development, policy, and research for prenatal to age five services. And we are excited to expand our services to reach even more families.

Thank you to our sponsors, including our Masters Sponsor, Connection, the golf committee, and volunteers for their dedication and partnership in making this event possible. Our volunteers went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly, and we’re so grateful for their support.

We’d also like to recognize Abbott and AbbVie for their partnership over the years. Their commitment has not only introduced new donors, sponsors, and volunteers to our mission, but also strengthened our programs to reach more children and families.

It’s not too late to make an even greater impact! We’re so close to reaching our goal of $250,000. If you haven’t had the chance to give, or would like to contribute further, please consider making a gift today by clicking here.
