Mobile Crisis Response (MCR)

Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) is an intensive mental health program designed to provide crisis stabilization, pre-admission screening, assessment, and treatment of any child, youth or adult who may be at risk of psychiatric hospitalization and who is eligible for public funding under any program funded by one of three collaborating departments: Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (IHFS), and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS). The program services the lifespan of individuals.

Services are youth and adult-centered, family-focused, community-based, and culturally relevant. They occur in the least-restrictive setting and multiple providers may be involved, including the MCR screener, family, school, and hospital staff.
