One Hope United Celebrates Grand Opening of Hope Center Pilsen

New Location Brings Vital Services to Youth and Families in the Chicagoland Area

One Hope United expands to Pilsen in response to critical needs in our region. Hope Center Pilsen brings vital services to youth and families in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. In 2023, approximately 1.2 million Cook County residents –23% of the population –required behavioral health services, yet many did not receive the necessary care. Additionally, over 20,000 children and youth were in the custody of the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services as of January 2023.

Located in the heart of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, Hope Center Pilsen offers a wide range of comprehensive support for youth and families, including foster care and adoption services, family preservation programs, clinical services, and more. Attendees learned more about these services, explore foster parenting opportunities, or discover career paths with OHU.

The open house marked a meaningful step in OHU’s ongoing efforts to expand its reach and deepened its support for youth and families throughout Illinois.

From humble beginnings in 1895 as an orphanage in Downers Grove, Illinois, to an established sector leader with 130 years of experience, we’ve come a long way and yet it feels like we are just getting started. As we look forward, I am very eager to continue to work together to move toward an even brighter future.
