Welcoming Elizabeth M. Hopkins: OHU’s New Vice President of Illinois

We are proud to announce that Elizabeth M. Hopkins, MJ has been named Vice President of Illinois at One Hope United. In this critical role, Elizabeth oversees all programs and services across Illinois, ensuring that OHU delivers the highest-quality care, remains compliant with state and federal standards, and continues to drive innovation in serving children and families.

With more than 20 years of experience in regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and social service program management, Elizabeth brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to advancing excellence and equity in care.

Elizabeth’s career began in mental health services as a case manager and counselor, and she went on to serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), acting as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for children in the Illinois court system. She has since held leadership roles across multiple social service organizations, consistently championing high-quality services and stronger outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Her connection to OHU runs deep. Elizabeth previously served in several impactful roles within the organization, including Director of Continuous Quality Improvement & Reporting, Manager of Special Projects, and Medicaid Coordinator. During her tenure, she led quality initiatives across more than 20 programs, developed agency-wide policies, and created staff training curricula.

Elizabeth also contributed to national standards of excellence as a former Council on Accreditation (COA) reviewer, helping ensure that human service organizations across the country meet rigorous benchmarks for quality and accountability.
