When Woodson entered OHU's Hope House program at 1

When Woodson entered OHU's Hope House program at 16, he found adults willing to meet him where he was and help him move forward at his own pace.

#HopeHouse offers a family-like home for youth involved in child welfare, emphasizing consistency, patience, and individualized support.

Today, at 22 years old, Woodson became the first Hope House alum to graduate college, earning his Associate’s degree from Broward College.

At Hope House, the doors don't close when youth turn 18—our staff is always here to help. And with your support, we can continue to help young people like Woodson accomplish what they never imagined they could.

We are excited to announce our partnership with @t

We are excited to announce our partnership with @thisisuic!

With this partnership, we will be able to expand our successful Hope House program in Illinois and strengthen the evidence base for national replication. Designed as a therapeutic family home alternative to institutional group care, the Hope House program provides teens with stable, nurturing environments that foster well-being, educational success and independent living skills.

To deepen the program’s impact and build a nationally recognized evidence base, One Hope United has partnered with the UIC Jane Addams College of Social Work and its research collaborators at @FloridaStateUniversity and @NORC_at_uchicago . Over the next year and a half, UIC and its research collaborators will collect and analyze outcomes for Hope House youth compared with traditional placements.

A big thank you to OHU president and CEO Damon Cates, Dr. Jennifer Geiger, @UICChancellor Marie Lynn Miranda, and Heidi Mueller of @ILchildrenandfamilyservices for all their work on this project!
