Because of your generosity, we raised over $220K at this year’s Thriving Together Luncheon — directly supporting our Hope House program, which provides a stable, family-like home for youth ages 13–17 involved in the child welfare system. Unlike traditional facilities, Hope House is a “family home” emphasizing genuine connections, understanding, love, and acceptance. We advocate for youth in all aspects of life, court, and their journey to successful adulthood.
We’re especially grateful to Dr. Gieger, Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, and Chuck Metellus, Director of Programs for Hope Houses in Florida, for sharing their powerful stories. And to our generous sponsors, including Edward Jones and USG, thank you. Your partnership is creating brighter futures for youth who need it most.
As announced at the event, we’re expanding! With your support, we’ll have 17 Hope Houses open across Illinois and Florida by the end of 2025 — each offering youth a place where they feel seen, safe, and supported.
We are building something powerful — not just houses, but homes full of hope. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.
Watch a speech from Chuck Metellus, Director of Programs for Hope House in Florida, about his experience working with youth at Hope House as a House Parent and now as a leader for One Hope United.
