One Hope United Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Hope Center Pilsen

New Collaborative Space Will Serve as a Hub for Supporting Youth and Families

One Hope United (OHU) proudly celebrated the grand opening of Hope Center Mattoon with an open house and toy drive on December 4. Community members gathered at the beautifully remodeled space in the heart of Mattoon’s downtown business district to learn more about OHU’s services, explore the unique new facility, and contribute to the holiday toy drive benefiting local youth.

The newly opened Hope Center Mattoon offers essential services for youth and families, including Foster Care & Adoption, and Conscience Community Network Wraparound, a collaborative, family-centered approach that addresses the needs of at-risk youth through personalized, strength-based plans. The space is designed to provide a welcoming, collaborative environment for staff and clients alike, featuring private offices, open living-room-style areas, and a mezzanine for teamwork and connection.

Attendees of the open house also participated in a toy drive to support local children during the holiday season, embodying the spirit of hope and generosity that defines OHU’s work.

As we move into new spaces, we are trying to offer different types of work environments. It’s such a unique experience to have the outcome match the vision.
