The Bridgeport Child Development Center I provides individualized care in an environment tailored to enhance growth and development, including for children with special needs.

Personalized Learning

Staff set unique goals and daily life experiences, preparing your child for kindergarten using The Creative Curriculum®. We plan intentional, individualized learning using art, music, and more, with daily homework assistance and full program days when Chicago Public Schools are closed.

Our After School curriculum follows the STEM philosophy to help with problem-solving through hands-on activities.

Healthy Lifestyles

The center’s unique Healthy Lifestyles program will introduce your child to:

Nutrition
We use Food2You catering, they provide delicious, nutritionist-approved meals that your children will love. We offer breakfast, lunch, and PM snack at no additional cost.

Movement
Children enjoy our two outdoor play areas and indoor gym. We also host family activities throughout the year.

Environment
In our garden, children learn how to plant, care for, and harvest vegetables and flowers. We also learn the importance of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.’

Community Partners

Start Early

We partner with Start Early to provide Head Start services for children 3-5 years old. The Head Start model creates a nurturing environment to support the healthy growth and development of each child in the context of their family, culture, and community.  

Chicago Public Schools

We partner with Chicago Public Schools to provide State Preschool and Prevention Initiative Programs for a seamless transition from preschool into the public school system. 

Local Programs

We work with community programs that provide social service resources, education, and training opportunities for families. Our teachers, administration, and family support specialists collaborate with families to help meet their needs and allow them to thrive.
