AGE PROGRAM

Housed in Avoca West Elementary School, the Glenview School Age Program is uniquely intertwined with the community, providing before-and-after-school care for Avoca students during the calendar school year. The program remains open during the school’s winter and spring break for students wishing to continue the programs curriculum. Individualized Learning
The Glenview School Age Program promotes academic advancement with a focus on whole-child development. Through our hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum, children develop sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teacher-led clubs for children interested in carpentry, construction, art, and nature broadens the curriculum. Dedicated homework time assisted by qualified teachers is provided for students as well. Group activities and exercise foster the social, emotional and physical growth of each child.

Healthy Lifestyles Curriculum
Our Healthy Lifestyles curriculum offers daily exercise activities for all children. The Avoca West campus hosts several outdoor amenities, including a large field for games, playground climbing structures, a blacktop with multiple basketball hoops, and two gymnasiums.

Community Partners
The Glenview School Age Program is woven into the community through our partnership with the Avoca School District. Other partners include the Glenview Public Library and many businesses within the community.

The Glenview School Age Program is proud of its reputation among area residents. Many former families of the program continue to invest in the school through donations and or stop by to visit and reminisce about their time at the program.
