The Parent Group
The Parent Group brings parents together with a professional facilitator to sharpen their child-rearing skills. The voluntary service is designed to support parents and teach parenting skills—ultimately preventing child abuse and neglect. Groups meet weekly in English and Spanish.
Specific Services Offered
In order to identify a client-specific treatment plan, therapists first complete an assessment of the individual/family, which may include:
- Parent education.
- Weekly support groups.
- Networking opportunities.
- Complimentary child care during group sessions.
Who is Eligible?
The Parent Group is a voluntary service open to anyone who would like to sharpen their child-rearing skills.
